Lima Bus: the local bus network
Lima Bus is Essaouira's main urban and suburban transport network. It makes it easy to reach several beaches and villages in the province at a low price.
Departures mainly take place from the station located near Bab Doukkala (one of the gates of the medina). Vehicles run throughout the day depending on the line, with several scheduled departures daily.

To reach Morocco's major cities in excellent conditions, several coach companies offer daily trips. Departures take place from Essaouira's bus station, located on Avenue du 2 Mars, just a few minutes from the medina.

Managing checked luggage
For your intercity journeys, note that bulky luggage placed in the hold must be registered before boarding. A small fee of about 5 DH per bag is charged. The attendant sticks a label on your bag and gives you a receipt, which you should keep carefully in order to retrieve your belongings upon arrival.
